いよいよ帰国まで後3週間。学校に成績証明書をもらわなければいけません。
一部高校は、成績証明書を厳封のことと書いてあります。結局、8部もらうことにして、うち、2部は厳封にしてもらうことにしました。
学校に依頼をしなければいけないので、まず、Letterを書いてそれを持っていくことにしました。
レターはこんな感じです。

I would like to thank you for educating XXX during the past one year. The time spent at Cupertino High School has been both academically and culturally educational for her. XXX will be returning to Japan on September 24th, resulting in her last official school day being September 22nd. She will prepare to take the high school entrance examination in April 2018 because high school in Japan is not compulsory.
I would like to request your assistance compiling the following the official transcripts or certified true copies of academic records for XXX.
1. Please make total 8 of the official transcripts or certified copies of 9th grade, 2016-2017 and provide, if possible, the attendance reports of 10th grade from August to September 2017.
2. Please enclose 2 of them in envelopes with an official school stamp or signature of the issuer across the seal.
3. Please indicate which, if any, of the classes are Honors or Limited English Proficiency classes.
4. Please provide, if possible, explanation of abbreviations and/or codes used in the transcripts.

これを書いて、娘に内容を見てもらって提出しました。
まずは、卒業したLawson Middle Schoolのオフィスに行き、お願いしました。明日までにやっておくと、あっさり承諾されました。明日は出張だから明後日に取りに来るという話をして、adminオフィスへの依頼書に書き込みをしてサインをしました。依頼内容に関しては、このレターに内容が書いてあるので、これをホッチキス留めするという感じで終了。
その後、Cupertino High Schoolで同様のお願いしました。こちらもあっという間の対応で、わざわざ、厳封で2部とお願いしたのはいいのですが、「うちは、全部、封筒に入れるから心配ない。渡したものは開けないでね。」と、日本の学校の内申書みたいな感じで言われました。こちらは、10年生のattendance reportも必要だったので、9/20に渡せると言われました。
結構、こんな面倒な処理はできないとか色々言われるかなと思いましたが、あっさり終わって、ちょっと拍子抜けしました。
まあ、でも安心するのは早いです。全て終わってから出ないと。。。

後任の引き継ぎで、JALの方にご紹介する機会があり、Business LunchをFuki Sushiで行いました。
Lunchメニューのミニうな丼をいただきました。色々楽しいお話をさせていただきながら、ご馳走になってしまい申し訳ないなあと思ってしまいました。
こちらは会社の出張で、この三年間に、SFO-羽田を19回利用しました。その他に、シンガポールやシドニーにも数回行く機会がありましたが、やれ窓側がいいとか、アップグレードのキャンセル待ちの時に配慮してもらうなど、かなりわがままな客に付き合っていただいたのに、ご馳走になるなんて。むしろこちらがありがとうと言いたいくらいです。
帰国もJALで帰りますが、この三年間には散々利用させていただきました。
